Jakidale's IRL simulator and Volare's video about Canadair were part of our campaign for the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
For the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, our mission was to showcase the game’s depth and realism, and we decided to do it by partnering up with creators who live and breathe aviation and technology.
We strategically engaged Jakidale, one of Italy’s most prominent YouTubers with a burgeoning passion for real-world piloting, and Volare, the authoritative Italian YouTube channel dedicated entirely to news, curiosities and everything related to aviation. Jakidale, already embarked on his private pilot license (PPL) journey, decided to merge his love for aviation with his passion for technology by constructing a “mega flight simulator”. He meticulously detailed the assembly of his setup and then showed a side-by-side comparison of a real flight over Milan with a simulated one, revealing an amazing and senseless level of graphic fidelity where even ambient elements like cows and fuel pumps were indistinguishable from reality
For a deeper dive into the game’s technical capabilities, Volare focused on the Viking Air 415 Canadair, a specialized firefighting aircraft9. Using the new simulator, they virtually piloted this amphibious aircraft, demonstrating its unique operational procedures, including water loading, firefighting operations and operational realism. This content appealed directly to aviation enthusiasts, offering insights into complex aircraft operations and demonstrating the simulator’s unparalleled depth for training and entertainment
